This comment has it right. Not every cat likes their given environment. And it's not like they can just come up to us and tell us, “Hey, man, you're being awfully loud. Please tone it down.” They don't speak English. Their way of conveying extreme discomfort is by hissing, hiding, maybe even smacking you with a nail or two. But the nature of cats is not being “aggressive” - if a cat acts like that, they're in distress. Some cats really do prefer a quiet environment.

Unfortunately, this comment is right as well. It's 2026, and people are still certain that getting a cat is hardly any work, because they're extra independent or something. Forgive the French, but that's a big load of cat poopoo. Cats crave companionship, friendship, and a safe place besides another soul. The fact that they don't show affection like a dog that jumps on you and licks your face doesn't mean they're not affectionate. Cats show affection differently.

This last comment nails it - adopt, don't shop. So many cats come from very unfortunate situations, to say the least, and they deserve more. So much more. Every cat deserves a loving home, a warm hug, and a full bowl to fill their floofy belly. And the fact that so many of them sit in shelters, labeled as “aggressive” because they're literally scared every waking second, makes it a very easy decision to adopt and not shop. These cats might not get the best start in life - but they deserve great lives nonetheless.
